After graduating from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2009, where she finished her Master Programme in Harpsichord and Music Pedagogy, Nijolė Dorotėja continues to pursue her further creative path in Italy. She has studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, class of harpsichord of professor G. Luksaite-Mrazkova. She has been twice awarded a scholarship by the Italian Government for studies at Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and Alfredo Casella Conservatory in L’Aquila. In 2017, she graduated from a Master Programme in Harpsichord and Historical Keyboard Instruments at Alfredo Casella Conservatory of L’Aquila, a class of professor Andrea Coen. Nijolė Dorotėja actively performs at various international events, music festivals and she is often invited as a jury member in international music competitions. She made her solo debut with the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble Musica Humana and Čiurlionis String Quartet, Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of Rome Santa Cecilia Conservatory, the Baroque Music Orchestra of L’Aquila Alfredo Casella. She has recorded for the Lithuanian National Radio and Television LRT. She is a founder and Artistic Director of Lithuanian public institution Musica Vitale (a member of ECMTA). Since 2011 she is an artistic director of the Vilnius International Youth Music Competition Premio Scarlatti and International Music Festival Le strade d’Europa. Lithuania-Italy. Since 2019 till 2024 she was an expert of the Lithuanian Culture Council for the evaluation of culture and art projects. In 2020, she established the international performance agency BAMA - Beniusyte Artist Management Agency.
