Francka Šenk is a singer and an experienced vocal pedagogue. She serves as Professor of Singing at the Gustav Mahler Private University of Music in Klagenfurt, Austria, where she is also Head of the Department of Singing. In addition to her expertise in classical and contemporary vocal music, she is active in the fields of Early music and New music. With a strong academic background from the Mozarteum University Salzburg and the Academy of Music at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, she specializes in opera, song, and oratorio, as well as in vocal and music pedagogy. Her qualifications are further enriched by ongoing education in voice therapy, body-oriented approaches, and neuroscience. As a soloist, she has built a versatile international career, performing across Europe, South Africa, and the United States. Her repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music, including premieres of new compositions. Many of her performances are available on CD and in radio archives. As a jury member, Francka Šenk brings her deep artistic and pedagogical insight, combined with a holistic understanding of vocal performance. Her approach is characterized by professionalism, fairness, and a strong appreciation for artistic individuality.
